General Information 

High school boys' soccer is a fall sport. The season runs from the beginning of September through the end of October, with zone and state playoffs in November. The high school girls' soccer season begins after Thanksgiving and continues to mid-February, with a break over the Christmas holiday. Our policy is to provide three-man referee crews for all 4A division for the fall season are scheduled for Tuesday and Friday afternoons. A varsity and JV game will be played at the same site each day, with the same referees assigned to work both games. Assignments are made two weeks in advance and you can generally expect to be assigned three out of the four games depending on your availability. Assignments are distributed at the bi-weekly meetings, so attendance at these meetings is essential. Instruction is provided at the bi-weekly meetings, but new referees are strongly encouraged to attend a United States Soccer Federation entry level referee training course. Registration with the USSF will provide additional opportunities to gain experience through officiating in youth leagues and tournaments.
