General Information
Field and auxiliary officials are provided
throughout the high school season that general runs from late August through the
state playoffs the first weekend in December.
Individual Football officials are assigned
to a specific crew. The crew chief and his assistant are responsible for
assigning the appropriate level of games to the individual official.
Assignments are distribute a t the regular Tuesday meetings for the following
weeks's.
Game fees depend upon the level of the
participating teams.
NOTE: Officials must be 18
years or older and out of high school. They are required to attend the above
listed meetings and scrimmages (must be able to work any field position) for
training and evaluation. They also must pass a test prepared by the National
Federation of State HS Assns.
League/Organizations Supported with
Field and Auxiliary Officials
SNOA provides field officials, chain
crews, and clock operators for all 4A, 3A, 2A, and 1A high school football games
in the Las Vegas Metropolitan area. SNOA also provides field officials for
youth football and middle school football. Traditionally, we have also
provided officials for a Thanksgiving tournament that brings teams from the
Western United States to play during that weekend.
