Welcome to the Scorers/Timers (S/T) unit of the SNOA.The S/T unit is open to persons wishing to score volleyball gamesand/orscore /
time basketball games.Once a
member of the Scores/Timers (S/T), you are welcome to participate in both
Volleyball and Basketball.You
may also prefer to be a member of only one of the above.
·The uniform for all
Scorers/Timers consist of a Black Polo SNOA shirt (purchased from the SNOA). ·Scorers
should have four color pencils/pens for scoring. ·Timers for Basketball
should have a stop watch for timing time-outs.
All games are assigned through
Arbitersports.com.
Each person must have their own e-mail address in
order to receive games.

Welcome to this section:The Middle School Basketball season usually starts in January and
ends in April. Two games are played at each site, one Girl's game and
one Boy's game.
Registration:
·All
Scorers/Timers being assigned to work only at their school gyms
must attend to register each
year with the SNOA. ·New Scorers/Timers
must attend one training session
(2 hrs) scheduled at four different locations of the city, covering
each of the NE, SE, NW, SW parts of town.Dates for the training sessions to be determined just prior to
the start of the season.

Volleyball
GIRLS VOLLEYBALL AND BOYS VOLLEYBALL
Welcome to the Volleyball Scorer section. The Volleyball season starts in
the fall for the Girls (usually late August to early November) and the
spring for the Boys (usually early March to early May).Each season will usually run for 10 weeks prior to the Championship
Games. Scorers are provided to all 4A schools and some Private Schools in
the city.Matches are usually
Monday through Friday at 4:00 PM for B and JV matches and 5:00 PM for
Varsity matches.
Scorers will sign up for training during the weeks prior to the season
beginning.One scorer will be
assigned to score B games, while a separate scorer will be assigned to score
the JV and Varsity matches.

The uniform for all Scorers consist of a Black

for scoring.

All former SNOA Scorers must register and attend at least one of these

Rankings:Each Scorer will be given a
ranking.Scorers wishing to be
moved into a higher ranking, must be evaluated by at least three persons,
one being a Board Member and based on their recommendations, the S/T Board
will determine a ranking. Beginning Scorers should expect to work B games
only during their first year
(Exceptions will come from S/T Board).

Qualified to score JV and Varsity games and Championship games.

Advancement:399Must work one season working B games, request to be evaluated for
advancement by three different
persons, one of which being a Board member.
