SOUTHERN NEVADA OFFICIALS ASSOCIATION

                     OFFICIAL WEBSITE

COMPENSATION

All officials working games or events under the auspices of SNOA serve

as Independent Contractors with the Association. Assignments are

made by the Assignor for the particular sport. All officials are

compensated by SNOA and disbursement is made by check, except for

the final check for each sport (last compensation day), checks will be

available for pick up at Valley High School at the meeting as

scheduled below. NO CHECKS WILL BE MAILED OTHER THAN FOR FINAL

CHECKS. Individuals failing to come to their sport’s scheduled meeting,

or do not make other arrangements will have to make arrangements to

pick up their check with their assignor. Any official having a discrepancy

on his/her checks should bring the matter to the attention of their

assignor who will research the data and address the problem with the

Treasurer. Anyone going directly to the Treasurer will be referred back

to their Assignor for verification of information.

Types of Compensation

There are two types of compensation made to officials of the

organization.  All checks will contain both types and will include a

stub showing dates, amounts  for game fees and for travel rolled into

one check.   Forms 1099 will be issued to those earning more than

established thresholds based upon all sports in which games are

worked.

Game fees are in accordance with the rates for Varsity, JV and

Freshman (B) level games as established by NIAA (see fee schedule

shown below).  Fees for auxiliary personnel (basketball scorers and

timers), football clocks and chains, volleyball line judges and scorers,

etc. are negotiated separately between SNOA and the Clark County
